Mikey just started his basketball season last Saturday. It has been made apparent that baseball is a lot more interesting to him by the way he plays. His first game, he would run up and down the court with his hands up by his ears, snapping the whole time. He is quite impressed with his new ability to snap. (And much less impressed with basketball). Game number two, he started to be more aggressive. He would at least know where the ball was, and he would go after the kid who had it. He loves to pass to his teammates, it's more of a hand-off than a pass really. Anyway, here are some pictures from his game.
I like this picture because I feel like it is a great action shot. Only, the action is mid snap/jump in real life. No interest in the ball. :)
Team Bonding
His second game, the referee was HARDCORE. He was calling fouls left and right! He would make the kids line up and shoot free throws. No big deal, then one little boy kept dribbling out of bounds and he took the boy to the line and said "this is in" then stepped him over the line "this is out". (loud enough for everyone to hear) The kid wanted to be taken out of the game because he was humiliated! I guess it's good to start teaching them what is right early on, but umm....just in case you were confused dude, these are 5 year olds.
