We went to the Glendale Chocolate Affair this year! As a child I can remember going to Ceretta's chocolate factory and thinking it was the coolest thing ever! Mikey wasn't nearly as impressed as I once was... wah-wah.
If you have been to Ceretta's lately, you have to appreciate the papier mache models of their various suppliers. I can't imagine the time that went in to making those bad boys back in '85. Seriously. Mad respect.
You can see them below along the left wall. I'm sorry I didn't get a close-up.
We walked through the 'tour' and to see the chocolate covered pretzels. The pretzels went through a waterfall of white chocolate and I wanted to drink it. Don't judge me.
We took the shuttle back to the area with all of the booths. We walked around and enjoyed some caramel apples. They had some of the most delicious looking chocolates, along with
...wait for it....
chocolate dipped cheesecake.
Yup. Unfortunately by that point I had eaten so many chocolate covered wonders that I was chocolate-ed out.
(I'm pretty sure I just invented a new word. Get on that Webster.)
Pure B-L-I-S-S.
I had to snag a pic of the Clydesdale ponies.
A-freaking-dorable.
I want one more than an iguana.
All-in-all it was a great way to spend a friday night on the cheap. I got two cute hair bows for $5 total and a spoon ring! So cute. I'm still trying to figure out why they were selling at a chocolate affair but whatev. I love them.
