We were able to work Easter out really well between the two families this year! I wished that Mike and Mikey could have come to the Hunter side Easter bash, but we can't have it all! :)
Coloring eggs was fun for us this year. This is the first time Hunter got into it and he colored his own! He loves all things that his big brother does, so he felt like such a big kid. Little did he know we only let him use markers (no die!). Sucker. :)
Mikey loves all things crafty! He loves to help me with my Cricut when I'm scrapbooking and he loves to color!
This year Mikey was kind of unsure about the whole Easter Bunny. He was really struggling with whether or not he's legit, and he desperately wanted to think he was. So we did all that we could to make squeeze another year out of him. We bought the boys a sandbox and seized the opportunity to say the E.B. built it. Mike worked all night, then came home and built the whole thing. We want Mikey to be a kid as long as possible! He LOVED it! He came home from school on Monday with such a cute story too.
Mikey: "Chance in my class said that the Easter Bunny isn't real. That is so funny because the Easter Bunny IS real.(pause) I told him that if the E.B. wasn't real, then how did he build my sandbox? Then he said that the E.B. can't build things but I told him he can. Chance is kinda crazy."
*Note to anyone wanting a sandbox: 14-50lb bags of sand=700lbs of pain in the butt.* The poor home depot guy was less than enthused to see me with Hunter (What the eff was I thinking?!), asking for 14 bags of play sand Easter morning. Do they accept tips? I think that was a tip-worthy task for sure.
I was changing Hunter's diaper and he ran outside and jumped in the sandbox! Hilarious!
