Easter 2011

I know, I know.  I am trying my hardest to catch this blog up! I am waiting on pictures from Mike's Sister, which is why there aren't very many pictures from the Thomas side easter!

We colored Easter Eggs, as we usually do, but this was the first year Hunter could really get into it.  He was hilarious.  He was grabbing any egg he saw, whether it was in the coloring or not and transferring them to other colors.  His hands looked like an oompa loompa by the end of it.  I loved watching him have so much fun.
Mikey had a ton of fun using the crayon and stickers. If you colored an egg with the crayon, then dipped it, the coloring couldn't stick to the wax so your design remained white. Where was all of this cool stuff when we were kids?!?

He lost his pants (a frequent problem for him) and just kept on coloring!

After we colored easter eggs, we went outside and planted Jelly Beans.  I got the idea from another blog, I can't remember where, but I thought it was so cute.

On Easter eve you plant Jelly Beans, then on Easter morning Suckers grow from the Jelly Beans!!!  The Easter Bunny couldn't find the right Suckers (The round rainbow ones) which would have looked WAY cuter, but these ones worked just fine! (Except for when your observant 7 year old says "I planted a yellow Jelly Bean and the Sucker is blue!" Crap.)
The Boy's Easter Baskets:

Easter morning we woke up, got ready and headed to my parents Ward for Church.  It was so nice to have the whole family there (minus Jeff and Jordan).  It was so weird to see that we took up two whole pews.  After church we went back to my parents house for lunch and the Easter festivities.  I will get more pictures of the event because we had a TON of fun.  There was an obstacle course, a ring toss, egg hunt, duck game and the traditional scavenger hunt for our baskets. It was a blast!
Nana rocking the bunny ears and cracking up the older boys.

Everyone goes crazy during the easter egg hunt because my mom puts dollar bills in some of the eggs.  Jackson TORE IT UP and got like 7 of the 20 out there.  Pretty good stats considering there were 7  kids looking!

We went to Mike's mom and Dad's house right after my parents house. Mike's mom had the kids paint bird houses and do an easter egg hunt.  They had so much fun!
The Grandkids on the Thomas side (minus Max) right after their easter egg hunt.
Hunter showing off his loot.
(Mike's sis was the genius behind the picture editing, I can't edit a picture to save my life!)

Mike's sis got this ADORABLE lamb costume at a garage sale, brand new.  I couldn't help but put the hat on Max! I wish it was blue because I would have him wear it this year if it was! Prettiest Lamb I've ever seen! :)

I was really trying to enjoy the time and not obsess about getting a ton of pictures.  I had a lot of fun  and always love getting together with both families.  I know that more pictures exist and I will update with those as soon as I have them!
