What do you get when you cross a stay at home mom with a great musical, fantastic company and front row seats?
Seriously, I can't stop talking about it.
I feel like my dad because he is notorious for telling the same story to the same people like 5 times. (I love you dad, but you know it's true).
Julia and I decided to have a Girl's Night this past weekend. (When I say decided, I mean scheduled a month in advance.) Anyway, we got tickets to see good 'ol Les Miserables at the Phoenix Theatre. Pheonix Theatre? That's what I said. Honestly, aside from Wicked on Broadway in Chicago, it was one of the best theatrical experiences of my life (and with a mother like mine, there have been many.)
So, the night started great with a light dinner at a place called Zoe's Kitchen. I had never heard of it before but it was a class meets convenience restaurant. It reminded me of Sauce (eastside restaurant). Bonus: The front door seriously made us stop for a minute. It was huge. Like the size of a double door but it hinged in the center and was kind of like a revolving door...anyway... The food was really good, but lets be honest, the food could have sucked and we still would have had a great time! It's amazing what years of fighting over clothes will do for a relationship. (a helpful hint would also be to become a health-nut so your sister can't fit into any of your clothes anymore).
We got to Phoenix Theatre 15 min. before the play started and parked right next to the entrance. We didn't have to pay for parking or walk forever, etc. We get in and the ticket-taker says "wow, you guys have great seats! Front and Center." Umm...Sweet!
The play starts and we could literally touch the actors if we wanted to. They all started singing At the End of the Day and I got the goose-bumps. I loved every single minute and sang every song at the top of my lungs the whole drive home.
Thanks Ju-Ju for the great time and thanks mom and dad for teaching me to appreciate true entertainment!!
oops!

Aww I love you girls! Fun times! You both look gorgeous! I love how you said just turn into a health nut so your sister can't fit into your clothes anymore! haha Ju is such a health nut but whenever I'm around I can get her to eat junk! haha
Looked like a fun time. Surely you two found something to fight over, perhaps who the "real Cosette" is in the car on the way home. Great show! Glad you two found time to have fun.
