I felt like it was finally time to add pictures from Hunter's first birthday! Sorry I have been such a slacker! Anyway, it was a ton of fun and I was really happy with how everything turned out!! I found these monster invitations online when Hunter was first born and I had my eye on them his whole first year! (I am a total loser, but it's okay because I've come to grips with it)I loved the monster theme, just because it was a little different than the usual trucks, jungle, etc. (not that I don't love those themes too) I ended up using paper to back the invitations to make them bigger and I glued on google eyes so they didn't look as plain.
I was excited because I found a stack of 100 pieces of paper for $5.99 at Hobby Lobby and I used it for everything!! The colors were perfect too!
Gumball vase!!! I totally stole this idea from another blog because I thought it was so cute!
I used the extra fabric from Hunter's outfit as a tablecloth. We have a signed frame from our wedding and I thought it would be cool to have one for his first birthday too!
Monster cupcakes. Oh my gosh, they were so fun to make!! Seriously though, shout out to Julia for all of the help!!!! After about 5 cupcakes, I was done and she really pulled through! You can totally tell which ones were mine and which ones were hers! The one with all the candy sticking out randomly: mine.
I started the tradition of taking a picture of Hunter on every month birthday, so I used them all to make a little timeline. It turned out great! Thanks to my hubby for helping glue together the chain links!
Here is the hat that he was not having and the bib I made!
Our fam dam (minus Mikey)
Thanks to my mom for all of her great and frugal birthday parties when we were kids. I totally stole this idea from the home videos! The premise: There are donuts hanging by a string and first person to eat the entire donut wins! Catch: No hands allowed. It's actually quite hilarious to watch.
100% boy! He loves being outside! Here you can kind of see the shirt and shorts I made for him.
Loving that cotton candy!
At this point, he was pretty much done. He loved his cupcake and was very interested in the candles on top. Shortly after this picture, he took a much needed nap.
Here he is on his Harley that he got from D-Gall. He LOVES it!
Thanks for coming everyone! I know that the first birthday is more for the mom and it was everything I could have hoped for!

DANA!!! What a great birthday party! You have more of mom in you than you ever thought. Nice work, seriously, that is one of the best birthdays I've seen. That's saying a lot if you can capture that in pictures.
HOLY FREAKIN CRAP DAI DAWG! I have never seen anyone go as ALL OUT as you did for Hunter's 1st bday! That is awesome! My jaw was open the whole time I was reading this post! haha You are pretty much AMAZING! The cute hat and bib, the signed picture frame, the pics from every month bday, all the decorations, the outfit you made him, the monster cupcakes which look heavenly, the donuts on a string game! What didn't you have at his party! I am anxious to see what you do for all of his other birthdays for the rest of his life! haha You are an awesome mom! You remind me a ton of Les diggity! Happy Bday to Hunter! He is such a stud!
